TV watchers; there is an Omaha Steak commercial on Fox News that offers a holiday $59 deal, but they tell you to search for a code on their website, and I keep missing it, what is it, anybody? Deal includes 4 filet...

A friend of mine bought from them and then came a seemingly never ending series of phone calls to get him to buy more.

After he got really tired of telling them not to call back he had to get rude and promise never to buy from them again before the calls finally slowed down and stopped, I think.

I believe they sold his name on a list to other marketers so now he gets all kind of merchandising calls from folks he's never heard of.

I hope your experience is better than his.

We tried their product a bunch of years ago. It was OK nothing spectacular. They did hound us for quite a while to buy more but finely they gave up.

We did generate a bunch of junk mail and phone calls due to our purchase. I transposed two letters in our last name and that showed me they passed our info on.

Didn't Omaha Steaks used to have trucks that drove through neighborhoods selling steaks and meats door to door?

But really, why would anyone buy meat online? When I buy meat, I want to see both sides of the cuts before the grocery meat person even puts it in those little packages and seals it up.

I do not know about Omaha but in NYS we have a outfit Schwan's Food, that delivers to your house. I had a neighbor that got regular deliveries. Food was OK. They are still in business I passed one of their refer trucks just a couple days ago.

There is nothing about the Omaha Steaks commercial that makes me want to buy from them. Quite the opposite.

Schwan's used to deliver in our area here in Southern FL. They seem to have withdrawn from our area. Of course we're a bit rural and the density may not have worked for them. We liked their stuff fairly well but probably didn't buy from them often enough to make it worth their while.

Several times we have received Omaha steaks in a box along with a variety of other food items. The meat items are average at best.
If you like good prime or choice steaks, go else where.

Schwan's is all over the country. We have them in IL also.

Yep! Used to only go to the well to do side of town honestly. As a kid in the neighborhood I’d watch that pale yellow truck drive by while eating my beanie weenies and koolaid!

Par for the course these days. We have a rule established some years ago when we got I phones -- if the number isn't in our contact list, we just dont bother with it. End of story. We are seniors and soon as the phones came we started getting all these calls. :(

What I had of Schwan's was pretty good. When my daughter was in elementary school they used to sell Market Day. The food was good, but a little expensive. We liked it for the convenience being we both worked. The portions were vacuum pack and frozen.

It is a rule around here to not buy form some company that only tells
you that you get 4 of these 3 of these and a dozen something cheap.
I have ask these types to give me a per pound price, guess what, they
will not.
That makes me skeptical of what kind of great deal this is supposed to
be.

Frozen steaks in a box..Nah...I don't cherrish any meat that has been frozen...Not even shrimp or lobster. Good ole meat market is still the best. (Although they are harder and harder to come by)
