One good tip for revolvers

Probably a no brainer for you guys and not S&W specific but I have learned the hard way a few times now not to work in my garage or on my patio over the concrete floor so that when things do roll off the bench or table or slip out of your CLP'd slippery hands they do not get a serious dent in them.

Since nobody has mentioned it.
KROIL - "the oil that creeps".
Used it as a penetratnt for stuck nuts and bolts.
Discovered that its a great revolver cleaning solvent.
Loosens just about any kind of fouling.
I soak down the gun and let it sit overnight than scrub clean.

When playing with products such as Toluene, Varsol, Acetone etc.

At least obtain a "Material Safety Data Sheet"
After reading the dangers attached to each, you may never want to have any around the house. There are many people that wished they read the MSDS.

Be Careful

Fat Old Guy: Sadly, VARSOL is no longer available.

My dad always kept a jug of varsol around, used to get it at the "ESSO" stations (Now Exxon for you youngsters). It cleaned anything.
