Boys I was reading McCaws thread with Clint. Eastwood clip. Reminded me of above book written by Jack Hinson. A great read for anyone and a must for Civil War interest.

A true story. Family still has the gun he used. Don't let this go unread. I have no interest other than getting you to a great true civil War story with provenance .

I haven't read the book yet, but I have read-up on the accounts of John W. "Ole Jack" Hinson. Very interesting true story......should be a great read.

I have read the book and recommend it. Good examples of Yankee atrocities that you don't see in our history books.

Good read

After learning of the book in a magazine article I bought the book on Kindle; indeed a very good read and a new perspective on the Civil War . Very interesting to read of disorganization on both sides.
