Force 10 from Navarone is fun, too.
I mentioned that one earlier. Liked the slam-fire shotguns made out of water pipe.Ματθιας;142003398 said:Here's one thats been forgotten:
American Guerrilla in the Philippines. (1950)
Twelve O'Clock High
The movie was described by heavy bomber crews that saw action in WW2 that the movie was the most accurate to true war experience.
Good topic for Memorial Day weekend.
My favorite war film of all time (and favorite film of any type), is The Best Years of Our Lives.
It was the highest grossing film of the 1940s and took all the academy awards from another monster film of 1946: It's a Wonderful Life, including best picture that year.
It's rated the number 37 film of all time on the AFI 100 list. It's an example of moviemaking at its highest art form, anywhere in history.
