One Revolver

Just ONE!

That is a tough call...
IT would probably be my 4 inch 19-4 my late father gave me for my 22nd birthday... spent my youth picking up brass at IPSC matches my dad shot at... lots of rounds through 4 inch K-frames...

but... it could easily be my 5 inch 686 half lug stocking dealer special... kinda of a big K-frame...

I'll choose our four inch model 29...no lock... as BikerBill said above about his lil mod 57 .41.... our old mod 29 can be loaded up, down or sideways & do any job I ask it to*... from using it as a back up gun on North American dangerous game, to using it for serious social work...as long as I do my part in aiming her, she'll do right fine...

The new M&P R8. Got to shoot one a couple weeks ago. Holy cow! Same weight as my 19, 8 rounds of 357.

Shooting this 625-2 never gets old...

Definitely four inch barrel

Would have to really think about grips although it depends on the gun.

Probably 357 shooting 38s because the .22lr inevitably gets dirty

So, 586 all day long OR Highway Patrolman with even longer barrel.

See post 11 above

First time ever shooter. And how can one not have fun shooting ZOMBIE RATS! Need to work on trigger discipline but the muzzle is to the head of a killer rat.

Hard to beat a S&W .22.

I origionally thought either my model 15 or model 14 but since the op specified a one gun then mt model 15 with adjustable sights. Frank

It would be a 6 inch 29 / 629. 240 grn SWC at about 900 fps. Fun, accurate, and I like big holes in my targets...:)

If limited to most fun gun for the range, K-22. If best all around handgun, you can only have one, forever and ever, amen, I say M65.

No brainer. My 4" blue Model 19 Combat Magnum. I've got a number of revolvers, including a 7.5" Colt 1873 Single-Action Army and a 6" Model 29 44mag. I like them fine. That said, the 19 was, is and always will be my favorite.

Range gun?

That's easy. My 686

The problem comes when you combine a range gun and a carry gun. I could pick one gun that could do both, like a Shield but I'd rather have a gun for the range and a gun for carry.

I've never thought about the question "only one". Here is the Smith & Wesson that always gets tossed in the case when we go to range or just out shooting. I just can't remember the last time I went shooting where my K22 Combat Masterpiece didn't get taken along and shot. I can't say that about another gun in my safe.

I hate this question and the very thought of "Only one", but the answer is easy. My 4 inch Model 624 with a bucket of handloads.

For me it would a 4" Model 57 .41 Magnum.

You can load it from mild to hot and all points in between.

Just don't ask me to choose between the blue no-dash and the nickel dash 1!!!:D

Bill

Fully agree but I would be hard pressed to decide between the 6" and the 8 3/8th barrels (have both) and loaded with 41 Specials. Yes, they do exist! dave_n

One revolver

It would have to be my 4" S&W 19-4, as it fits my hand as if custom made for me. It will put the rounds exactly where you aim. Hopefully in the target center if I do my part.

For range use it would be the versatile M27-2 in 6". Will shoot light .38s to +Ps and full blown .357 mag loads. Mostly it is drop dead gorgeous to look at and it will always fetch some comments on it's beauty.
