So a guy that works at a local range really liked my Century Arms assembled Polish Tantal AK74. After handling it, he wanted to trade me his FAL for it. Being an AK guy, I wasn't too interested. Awhile later, the trade intrigued me so I asked him to send pics. It's a DS Arms made FAL, and in recent years they went from billet/forged receivers to cast (blah!) anyways, He sent me these pics
This is the first run of FAL rifles DS Arms produced. The receivers are made and machines by LMT (not in house cast) and the best part is that the parts used are all (minus 922r) are NOS Steyr STG58 parts kits, including the barrels (proof marks galore!)
And as you can see, very little wear on receiver. This thing hasn't been fired much at all
And here she is in all her glory
All together, I traded the rifle, 580 rounds of 5.45, and 6 mags (valued around $650-700) for a rifle that's worth easily double. Win!
