open or concealed?

I did read the OC post and found it to be interesting, but I just do not agree with the logic presented. I'm not opposed to anyone else who does it (OC), but it just makes no sense to me. That might be b/c it was drilled into our heads to conceal when off-duty and I've done so well into retirement.

If I were to OC my choice would be my Ruger Vaquero stainless .357, faux ivory grips, in a western style holster and belt, but that is more of a fashion statement than anything else. Fun gun to own & shoot but too heavy to conceal.

I don't OC, but I'll be damned if I'm going to let the left dictate what rights I can or cannot exercise because I don't want to "scare them" or "give the wrong impression to the uninformed". I fully support and approve of anyone who OC's.
What's next, not display the American flag because someone's offended? Oh wait, we already do that.

It's those areas between urban and rural that are tricky.Back when I hunted,I had to be careful where I carried.Too close to town and people really freak out.Who needs the trouble? That old cliche about when in Rome has merit.

I've seen some OC guys get arrested for disturbing the peace. Someone called the police, the police show up. The police cant find any thing wrong, except that they are accused of disturbing the peace. They claim had the peace not been broken, the police would not have been called.

BS if u ask me, but it just shows that they will find other ways to charge u with something. Even if the charges dont stick in court. It's still more of a PITA than what its worth.
