Opinions for Altamont Grips on N Frame?

Yeah grip seller doesn't have the ones I want though. They told me the Mrs. Ahrends died of cancer a while back and Mrs. Ahrends is currently trying to catch up which is understandable. I'd like the concealed carry boot grips but I might have to settle for the round butt tactical grips for now.

These are my new Altamont grips. It made my S&W 586-7 seven shooter a very classy weapon...

I love the feel.

Very nice looking, hard to tell in the picture but are they thin like the stock grips they make for smith or wider like the older target grips?

I'm not crazy about Altamont' s N frame grips. The pair I bought had many square edges and the area behind the trigger guard is cut to high, IMHO. They were almost immediately tossed in a drawer and replaced with a nice Hogue wood grip. A friend also bought a set of Altamonts for his 4" M29 and has bleeding hands after most range sessions.

It should be said that the Altamont design is close to being workable if they made a few "tweaks" to the problem areas. I am sure they are good folks that just need to refine the N frame products.
