I'm interested in the opinions of the Performance Center's "M&P Pistol Action Package" from anyone who has had the service performed on their pistol(s).

Currently, I have an M&P9 Shield & M&P9 Thumb Safety. The Shield is one of my carry guns; the M&P9 a range gun that I never carry. Both are bone stock & while 100% reliable, I don't like the trigger on either of them. I'm considering a PC Action Package on both.

Please note: I'm not looking for opinions on alternatives to the PC service. I'm aware of the Apex triggers, Burwell, etc. I'd like to know, specifically, opinions on the PC Action Package from anyone that has experience with it.

Thanks!

I've been considering the same thing & am interested replies. According to the catalog I recently received it's less than $130. Like th OP I'm not interested in aftermarket triggers

It's been 5 months since the last post, I just sent in my M&P 9 FS for the Action Package. I have the APEX in the 9 mm Shield I gave to the Mrs. my M&P is a backup duty pistol, so it's factory for me. Look here in 4 months (LOL) for the results.

Same boat with my 6906 and Model 66 I sent back to the Performance Center. Told me 12-14 weeks

I shot a 5" M&P 9mm with s&w action package done to it and was not impressed . Seem like waisted money to me . I ordered the Apex 100-067 kit for M&P 4.25 40sw with thumb safety . I think I used the stock trigger return spring ,, I think! That was 4 to 5 years ago and I just got that pistol in a trade with a daughter . Trigger pull is a little heavier than I it could be at 3lb 10oz but with a thumb safety its fine to carry . My wife has a 4.25 core that has the same kit plus a 100-070 reset assist and the trigger pull is 3lb 4oz . That's a fun gun today and also has a pex gunsmith fit barrel added that onl;y took 30 minutes to fit . Now its a heck of a shooter .

Way back in the day I sent one of my M&P45Cs into the factory for the performance package. It was not as good as my other M&P45C, which I Apexed. Never looked back and have Apexed all my M&Ps, to include Shields and a recent 2.0 Compact.

Not sure if this is an answer, but I was having trouble with an M&P9c several years ago, and sent it back for warranty work. It came back with what appeared to be the addition of a rounded head firing pin safety plunger in place of the squared off original piece. Couldn't tell if it had anything else done, but I noted that the trigger was probably a pound lighter than original factory. Still kind of mushy, but the gun has worked 100% since and I can live with it. I would venture to say having the factory perform the work will keep the warranty and keep you from having to swap the stock parts back in if you needed to send it back for other warranty work.
