Hello from New Hampshire,
I'm new to this forum. I have just picked up a 15-22 that I will use at the range. I am interested in optics and would appreciate anyones input on recommendations for a Red Dot in the 100 - 200 range.

thanks,

dcaspers:)

I love my Vortex Strikefires. I have them on both my 15-22 and my AR. They are red/green selectable and run $150 either in stores or on line. Vortex Optics have a lifetime warranty and their customer service is exemplary. I emailed them a week and a half ago to order a rear flip up cover to replace the one my boys lost and they responded two hours later that they would just sent me a new one. I had it two days later. Some places don't even answer email within two days.

Hi There,

Thanks for the quick reply. The specs on this red dot are great. I was also looking at Primary Arms M3 and M4. Lots to look at

Primary Arms M4. No extra mounts needed, long AA battery life, 2 MOA dot plus other reticules and holds a rock solid zero. The company can't be beat on service and shipping either.

The Strikefire actually comes with a high mount for the AR, I just wanted a mount that would allow cowitness in the lower third and a friend had a Troy cantilever mount to sell.

That being said, the Strikefire is almost twice as much as the Primary Arms red dots and everybody seems to love the PA sights.

All right gents, thanks for all the great info. Now I guess I have to do a bit of research on all of these and figure out what type of setup I want. Theres so much to "look" at.

After evaluating all the great scopes available, per your input, I have ordered the Vortex Strike Fire from Primary Arms. I thank all for your input. I am excited to be involved in this Forum and will be an active member, sharing my experience with this great fire arm.

best,

Dan
