Optics Planet reviews

I have bought lots of stuff from them over the years with no issues.Last year I ordered a thermal from them. It made it to my post office, but they lost it before it got to my house. PO even had a photo of my package. Took a while and some forms, but they refunded my money, as the item was no longer in stock.

I've purchased a lot of firearm related stuff from them too without any problems whatsoever. I'd buy from them again.

I'd heard negatives about OP years back and therefore avoided them. Last year they had something that I needed that no one else had, so I took a shot - Optics Planet turned out to be great. Since then, I've ordered about six more times and each experience was just great.

One downside I'll say is that I don't find the Optics Planet site to be as neatly organized as that of other dealers. But I am happy with OP and it's now one of the first places I check when I am shopping for something.

I have a long history with them. Initially, I had no problems with them. Then a few years ago, I went through a period when they were selling stuff they didn't have in stock. You would order it and not hear any more unless you contacted them, only to find out they didn't have the item and didn't feel it was important enough to let you know. If you do a search, you'll find I wasn't alone. I stopped dealing with them until around October of last year when they had an item I looking for (infrared scope) at a really good price that I couldn't resist. I took a chance and all went well. Since then, I've ordered a few more items from them and it has gone well, so they are back in my good graces.

Called them on 1/5 about one hour before their closing time.
Clerk on the phone said the Geissele SSP trigger, for one of our 6920s, was in stock as it was stated on their website.
Then placed the order online, to avoid any address miscommunications.
Called back and a more knowledgeable clerk told me when the trigger would ship.
Trigger arrived as he said it would.
Called Powder Valley on 1/8 after placing a Varget order on 1/7.
They gave me an approximate shipping date and the powder should be here tomorrow.
Now I'll be able to load the 70gr Sierras, and other heavies,
that have been sitting around for decades.
1:12 twist on our other older rifles.
Lotsa 40/45/50/55grs still on hand from the late '70s.
1:7 and 1:8 on the Colt and Ruger ARs.

Trigger feels nice and the T36 is back on the Colt.
Usually sits on a tripod or the No.1V/223.
