Working in Iraq I first learned from Embassy personnel that if I had entry and exit stamps from Israel on my US (or UK, or Shengen) passport, I would get turned back at the passport control point in Baghdad and not be allowed entry. That's true for a number of countries in the region.

Anyone NOT praying for peace there likely is not of any Abrahamic faith. Man can't fix this; intervention beyond man is essential, IMO.
