I decided that my 10-5 needed some better grips as the Magnas on it have seen better days and since I have a Tyler T-grip for it, new Dymondwood Square Butt Magnas are the way to go.

Anyone know how long it takes to get something from the online store?

Thanks!

I ordered some K/L/X frame Tamer grips on December 27, 2013..........still waiting.

Good luck.

Just like Pizza Bob said, I ordered Diamondwood K-frame Magnas on September 1st 2013 and I am still waiting for them. I called customer service a couple of weeks ago and was told that the vendor (Altamont?) has not filled the order yet.

Good question.
I was looking around on the S&W store website and on an impulse I ordered the grips since I had recently bought a K frame with aftermarket grips. Had I known then what I now know...

This. Oh, well, that's the way I learn ... :o

Why not just buy them from Altamont?

Some of the Altamont Smith grips are proprietary and are only available through Smith. Just as the Tamers for the X-frame (which also fit K/L/N-frame round butts) by Hogue are only available from S&W. So chances are, that if you wanted that exact grip, you did the right thing by ordering it as you did. I assume that these long lead times are a result of relatively small orders from the suppliers and it isn't worthwhile for them to shut down regular production in favor of a small quantity of grips they wholesale, so production runs are scheduled based on time rather than demand. JMHO.
