I saw a lot of recommendations on here for the Otis cleaning kits.

Last night was my first time using one (bought the pistol kit), and I couldn't feed the bore brush or cleaning pad holder through the forcing cone?

There isn't enough room between the cone and the back of the cylinder? The attachments are too long.

Are other people able to clean their 686 from breech to muzzle with an Otis kit?

Thanks.

If you can get the correct size bore brushes just go muzzle to breech and back. I've been doing it like that with no problems. Unless you use a bore snake then you can go other way.

That is a problem with the Otis kit cleaning system on some revolvers but it works well on most other gun applications. You might be better served with the BoreSnake for your caliber and keep the Otis for your other guns or pistols. I agree that bore to breach isn't quite as critical on a revolver as the gunk in the bore doesn't fall into the inner workings of your gun like it would on a rifle.
