While in the local auto parts store I was joking with the cashier about how they have high tech pocket knives on the counter for "cammo wearing" guys like me. He laughed because he was also wearing a cammo hunters hat. I don't know why but I started explaining what these new 23 EO's mean. When I explained how it is entirely possible for his doctor or his CHILD'S doctor to ask about firearms in the home he was shocked. He said "I heard there were 23 orders signed but I have NO IDEA what they mean".

I think we can all agree we here are on top of the changes but this conversation made me wonder.... How many law abiding owners have no idea what is happening?? We need strength in numbers. We need all firearm owners to understand these changes! Should we then have an obligation to calmly and logically explain changes to like minded people? I believe so.

After our conversation he thanked me and I asked him if he was an NRA member. He was not so I told him how to sign up if he chose to and how to donate to the NRA-ILA.

Obviously you need to carefully have these discussions but if they come up and the participants are obviously like minded explaining what is happening with facts and not assumptions is a good thing. We need numbers. Spread the word.

I apologize if this is not a relevant post in the 2A forum but I believe it is...

Our role as EDUCATORS concerning 2A changes

Maybe I should have used the words "legislation changes" instead of 2A changes. My mistake. Not trying to imply the 2A itself was being changed.

Well if most law abiding citizens watch nighty news channels it's no wonder they are uninformed. Keep spreading the word grassroots style
