I've had a badge for over 30 years and believe me, these days it's more of a pain in the rear than it's worth!

IMO, a building owned by a hospital does not make it a hospital.
While this is true, the OP does get some of the blame. What happened was NOT caused by you!!
Not talked 2 like I'm a 2 year old ....the rest that's on my mind I will hold 2 myself
For a few years I was meeting a business associate at a third party business location. She is from faaaaaar lefty Madison WI and a dedicated opponent of anyone being able to have firearms, never mind carry them.
She knew I was a competition marksman and on occasion berated me for engaging in such a hideous activity.
After WI FINALLY passed conceal carry she would insist that I not carry in her presence. The people of the third party location where we met were not concerned and did not tell me I couldn't carry, there, and they did not have an anti-self-defense sign at the door. Several times this business associate would pat my waist to discover whether I was carrying and would protest when she felt my gun.
I politely had it out with her in the presence of the third party we were meeting with, reminding her I had passed a criminal background check and was carrying in compliance with the law, and the third party people had no objection. I further told her not to touch me again.
She seemed very unhappy but left me alone after that. I was relieved when our business association was completed and I no longer had to meet with her.
I'm just glad we never went to a restaurant because I'm sure she would have "outed" me.
