I am new to the forum and a question about my 29-2 (1971) that I purchased used recently.

It is (or at least was) in nearly un-fired condition and I am very pleased with the accuracy.

My only concern is the large amount of trigger over travel - about .10 - 125 after the hammer fall in single action.

I would like to insatll a stop to eliminate this. I vaguly recall reading about installing a short piece of drill-rod inside the rebound slide spring to limit travel.

I do not recall the details and would appreciate any info on this subject.

They made a rod (piece of stainless welding rod) in the return spring is the easy way to do it. You can cut and trim one to your like.

Installed the over-travel stop in my 29-2.
I used the end of a drill bit - cut & ground to length by trial & error.

Thanks for the advice & info.
