You guys that prefer to carry this way, who makes the best leather high-ride holster? Pictures would be great.

Lotsa historical threads for this topic. Suggest a search but, for the record, I prefer the Galco CON158.

Be safe.

My favorite style OWB is the easy on/off snap models...this is a bullman I pulled off my P7 site, but Alessi (I have one for my P7), Del Fatti K&D and I'm sure a few others make a similar model...

Stoneman: There are quite a few excellent holster makers out there, and you might find one or two right here on the Forum. Charter Oak and Side Guard post pretty regularly, and they both have some nice looking products. Of course, I make J-frame holsters also. My e-mail is on my profile if you would like to see photos or discuss specific needs you might have.

I have about 40 units in production right now, including several J-frame holsters. Not all are spoken for yet!

Very nice holster Sip. The original poster did ask for "The best" owb and Josh certainly makes one of the top leather rigs although his waits are very long. My order is at 10 months so far. One day they will show up.

Take a look at High Noon holsters, slide guard model. I use it for my J frames

I'm a real fan of El Paso's #77 Tortilla for everything from J frames to N frames. Very comfortable and very concealable.

Andrews Custom leather saddle style. Maybe not the highest of rides, but very comfortable, and concealable.

I have a Kramer that I'm quite happy with. The El Paso #77 is a good one too and I have a couple of these around for various wheelguns.

I have a Rusty Sherrick U S High Ride on order. It's a very high ride, cylinder is above the beltline.

My favorite OWB J Frame holster is my Sharkskin Rafter S., Shown here with my 940 with Craig Spegal Thuya Burl Grips..

My favorite for the J Frame is a DoubleSnap by SideGuard.

It can be worn in or out but I like the way it "hides" IWB.

My Mitch Rosen is the best holster I've ever worn in so many ways. Not only looks great, but better . . . the gun is carried so well that you almost forget it is there. That's ALWAYS the sign of a great holster . . . one that feels great to wear!

Also, it babies the finish on this nice 1962-era Model 36 no dash.

Also, like Rosen is famous for, no straps are needed. The gun lightly and securely "clicks" into place. Amazing work.

Yeah . . . I'm a lefty!
