I know it won't happen, but am looking for the owner of a K22, 4 inch blue Combat Masterpiece, with serial number K171263. I have the original gold box, #'d stocks, SAT, cleaning rod, brush & mop! I was surprised to find the stocks are not sharp-shouldered.

The stocks were in a box with a set of "new" (1968) magna's from S&W to Dutton Lainson Co. in Hastings, Nebraska and is post marked 3/28/68.

I'll post some pics when I get a minute.

I never saw this thread until today.
To the OP,
The tapered shoulders Magna stocks were introduced around your serial timeframe around 1952-53 with steel medallions which appears yours have ( IIRC due to the Korean war shortage of brass).
BTW
the non diamond Magnas are very interesting in themselves, if you look closely they have the old style deep stainless steel escutcheons that carried over from the older diamond Magnas, these only lasted a short time before they were changed to shallow brass escutcheons, those stocks would be appropriate for a very late 18-2, 17-2, 15-2 etc or a very early dash 3 IMO.
