P Mags....which ones to buy?

I just shop for the cheapest ones with free shipping. They all work. You can still find some with the Impact/Dust Cover which if you leave your magazines loaded storage life is considered indefinite. I have Gen 2 and Gen 3 models with a without windows and have never had a problem with any of them. The window magazines add a buck or two to the price but you can see how many rounds you have if this is a concern. The new magazines will only be coming in one color so if you have a preference you need to buy the color you want before there gone.

Check out DSGArms they have Gen M2 30rd PMAG Non-Window 2 Pack w/ MAGPUL MAGLINK for $20 plus shipping, the maglink sells for $16 or more by itself. BTW if you don't want the maglink you can sell and almost get your magazines for free.

If you want 12 of the GEN 2 5.56mm 30rd Magazines 12/Pack for $99.00 with free shipping. Botach has them.

I bought a pack of 10 gen 3 from Botach a couple weeks ago. Received them quick and for a good price.

What gen are you buying in a 30 rd P Mag?

Who has the best pricing?

Any reason you are looking for 30 round mags? Many people prefer the 20 round mags, as they can be used for prone or bench rest shooting using a bipod. The 30 round mags are too long for bipod use. Just a suggestion.....

Guess my bipod is different than yours as I have no issues. Oh, NICE FRIGGEN CAR!

Thanks! What is the height of your bipod? I think mine is 6-9 inches and I usually have it on the 9" setting....

I'd have to look as I'm not sure. It's just a UTG bipod so it's nothing special, but the legs are extended a ways as I don't like to scrunch down when I shoot.

I've never had an issue using 30 round mags when shooting. They will hit the table when I try to sit the buttstock pn the bench though.

gen 3 and 4 are the only ones I ever see. $11

For some reason, I thought the Magpul mags currently available are Gens 2 and 3, with the Gen 3 being the latest and greatest.

I have stayed with the Gen 2 because they are a bit less expensive. Remember, until the Gen 3s, the Gen 2 Magpuls were the best in the world and better than standard military mags. It is hard to improve on a fully reliable magazine. :)

In addition, I recently read an article concerning the fact that Gen 3 Magpuls were not compatible with one of the newer rifles - Tavor, perhaps? Or, Beretta? In any event, when I read it, I was glad not to have either the rifle in question or the latest generation Magpul magazine.

Don't limit yourself to Magpul Mags. I've seen some traditional GI style 30 round mags go for anywhere between $5.99 and $10. I picked up 20 D&H 30 round mags with magpul followers for $7 each a month or so ago. I got an e-mail alert this morning. Someone was selling new GI mags for $5 each. I deleted the e-mail and don't remember who had the sale.

Not much, but I believe the M3 has an updated lower profile baseplate along with the dots on the side to number your mags and additional checkering on the leading/trailing edges of the mag for 'better' grip.

Primary Arms.........under $9!! Just ordered a small batch to add to my other small batches.....:)
