If I lived in PRNJ I'd want to insure my CCW was as concealed as possible with no chance of peeking out! Even though the law technically changed, I'm sure the powers at large are not happy and will look at ANY excuse to revoke your permit and rights. That said, I'd keep my CCW package as small, lightweight and unobtrusive as possible. The more concealed - the better as long as you can pull it quickly.
At normal SD/HD distances, you should not need a laser or red dot. I personally do not care for flashlights either because anything or person you illuminate has a loaded gun pointed at them, criminal, bad guy or family member. I much prefer to hold a flashlight in my other hand and as far away from my head and body as possible under the circumstances. Aside from which, if there were an intruder in your home at night and shooting at you, he will instinctively aim at the light source from a laser or flashlight. To me, they are not good ideas for regular homeowners.
A better solution and what I use in my own home are 5 different very low wattage LED night-lights. Enough light for me to see (when your eyes are adapted to the darkness), but not really enough for a stranger to understand and see all the nooks and corners in my home. BTW, My pistol (as yours does) has night sights. While not perfect, they are pretty easy to see even in poor lighting conditions. Just my personal opinion - I realize many here might disagree.
