Pachmyer Stocks?

Recently I purchased a 2nd Model Hand Ejector chambered in 44 Special. The firearm has been reblued at some point in past and consequently has no collector value, but being in mechanically excellent condition, it is perfect for my purposes, a shooter. My question is will Pachmyer stocks fit the frame, or has S&W changed the frame size/pattern over the years. The gun was made in the late '20's or early 30's (sn 28xxx). It is also a military version as it has the lanyard loop on the grip, and I assume I would either have to remove that or alter the Pachmyers (if they will fit) to accept the loop. Time is not being kind to my arthritic hands, and recoil bothers me, that is why I'd like a softer grip. Thanks.

The Pachmayr "Presentation" grips fit my 1917 (made in 1917) perfectly. Naturally, this is with the lanyard ring off. However . . .

Look carefully at the inner surfaces of Pachmayr grips before installing them. On two pairs that I own, one for a 1911 and the other for N-frame S&Ws just mentioned, edges of the over-molded steel support structure are exposed. These exposed edges will mar your frame.

For this reason, both pairs are living in my parts drawer awaiting a new owner who doesn't care if his gun gets scratched.
