Here are the five that I kept for the 1911 .45 ACP.

At Left, a gift from Red Nichols, kind of a combination of Brill and
Threepersons, so he called it a Brill-Persons. It is riding on a
Sidewinder belt, also a gift from Red. The knife is a Camillus.

2nd is a carved and laced Heiser model 728. About the most
beautiful holster I have ever seen. Knife is an Ultimate 1911.
The belt is a Texas Gunslinger and the silver Navajo belt buckle
is by Nezzi.

3rd A faux alligator pancake made by Metalcraft. I have a gator
belt, so I had to keep a holster to wear on it. The belt is by Culver,
and again, the Ultimate 1911 knife.

4th is a DeSantis HRT. When the F.B.I.'s Hostage Rescue Team
adopted the 1911 for their handgun, they went to DeSantis for
their holsters. So Gene named the holsters HRT for them. The
gunbelt is from Milt Sparks.

5th Another nice pancake is this Concealer by Bucheimer on a Pro
Rider belt and Sharp's stag knife.

I've got several old carved Heisers, and in my eyes, every one of them is a thing of beauty. I've just never had the good fortune to find one for a 1911 Govt. Model.

Here's a #730 I'm pretty fond of that's sorta similar, except that it's a perfect fit for a 5" N frame. That's my pre-war HD in the photo.

That carved and laced Heiser model 728 is beautiful, by far the best looking holster pictured.
How old is it, do you think? Looks in very good condition. 👍

SS336 - I have no idea how old it is. If turnerriver happes to read this
perhaps he can make an educated estimate. The suede lining is roughed
up a little bit from the gun going in and out, but the stitching and lacing
are all still in good shape. When I got it the stitching at the bottom of the
belt loop was coming loose, but a lady in the saddle shop fixed it and even
used the same stitch holes, so it is hard to tell that it has been re-stitched.
