I got bored the other day and decided to try out the Krylon camo paint for plastic. The paint seems to bond very well with the polymer. I painted the rear stock, magazine, rail covers, and front grip. I've had it out a couple of times and the paint hasn't shown any sign of wear........just thought I would share in case anyone is interested.

Thanks for posting. I've been debating this for some time now. I think I will start with my airsoft M4 and see how that goes. I don't really care if I screw that up. I am a little anxious to do it on my 15-22 though. Looks good on yours though. :D

Thanks, I had been considering it for a while and finally decided to do it. I just painted the parts that I had spares in so if it messed up, it wouldn't be too bad, but so far so good.

looks good, how much prep work was involved? how many coats of paint did you apply?

I didn't do any prep at all......I usually use rubbing alcohol to wipe down whatever I am painting. I skipped it this time and it still seems to stick very well with no prep or primer. It took 3 coats to cover it well.

looks good. I lightly sanded the really smooth stuff, sprayed with light coat of primer then a couple (2-3) coats of color. Been holding up fine for over a year now.
