I guess Reid will want to requisition a set of....from the military next, along with a voice. Nevada I can't believe they elected him. Must have been one heck of a Vegas turn out. I heard that this morning on the radio. IIRC, it costs $35,000 for her trip back to SF. And, she's complaining that she needs a larger airplane; one with a private bed, etc. The dems no doubt are sending all of us a signal. He won! We are in charge, so get use to it.

I would be willing to use tax funds to buy an 883 Harley-Davidson Sportser for the use of every member of the House and the Senate in order that they can get back home to stay in touch with their constituencies. No other taxpayer money to be spent to ferry them around with. They pay the gas. No upgrades to the vehicle allowed, no matter at whose expense.

Here it is, down to family members, bodyguards and ranks of Air Force "escorts" who accompany her on each flight.

Hell, they send a high ranking miliatry physician on her overseas flights! Admirals and such.

Dunno, but it would be fairly simple (though not fast or easy) to come up for expenses for operating the C-20, C-37, C-40 and the BIG A.F. plane she's used in the following report:

The 37 million dollar Gulfstream C-37 - It carries 41,000 pounds of fuel, for a range of 6,750 nautical miles.

The C-40B, that they "had" to let her use since the "little" Gulfstreams were all being used. Yep . . . a Boeing 737 in military garb.

Is it really unreasonable to expect that she, and others, use commercial air? They used to right? Seems like standing in line at the airport would help to self limit how many trips home the royalty would make.

It was on the news this AM, CNN and Fox. Makes little difference to me. They all are cheats. I have never thought term limits were any good you have to get rid of the good to get rid of the bad. Maybe that's what it will take. How could they be any worse. don't tell me experience while Obama is now in charge of every thing. Community organizer ? What is that?

For security reasons.

She's next in line after Obama and Biden. That's the reason given for the bigger plane.

She says she'd be happy with a small jet, so long as it has the range. Most of the time, since the headwinds aren't too bad, she goes in the C20.

Nonsense. Personally, I couldn't care less what she flies on, but the no refuelling stop argument is a red herring. By that logic, she should spend her public life in an underground bunker. I'm certain that she would be safer sitting on her butt in the Gulfstream while it's being refueled at an AF base (or any civil airport capable of handling the aircraft), than she is shaking hands at a fundraiser in California.
