Came across this last week, and since the only gun I can think of that I wish I hadn't sold or traded off is a 629 no dash I got rid of 5-6 years ago, I picked it up. I don't come across these pre-lock 629s in the wild that often. Manufactured 1982.

Unfortunately there's a chip in the front corner of the left stock panel. Othwise they're very nice. I may try to fill it in, or replace wit a nice set of target stocks I have in the grip bin. If the latter, this set may end up in the classifieds.

I bought mine on GunBroker, ironically from a dealer not far away, probably eight years ago for $615. I use it strictly for target shooting with 240-grain cast semi-wadcutters so I replaced the rear sight with a Millett. I would like to have the front sight replaced with a black Patridge but hate to permanently alter the gun. I have both Combat and Checkered Target stocks for it.
