Pawn Shop Pickup

I went to my local Pawn Shop to have my Charter Bulldog shipped to it's new home, and saw this little cutie in the case. S&W 60 no dash. Looks unfired with no turn ring and clean as can be.
$450 otd only thing wrong is someone ground the grip for a speed loader, but that can be remedied. #ADZ6797 does anyone know what year it was made Thanks...Nipper

I could read pawn shop/gun store rescue stories all day long, especially when a Smith is obtained for a killer price. I've almost made it a hobby myself. Real nice score you got there. Ship year was 1985.

Great find! Is the RH grip serialized? The left one can always be replaced and it could still be considered original.

I have a similar vintage 60, 1983 probably, I bought new. I altered my left grip for speedloaders too, although a bit more artistically. If this is a carry gun, which I assume it is, just contour the grip panel a little better and carry it. It doesn't look pristine enough to be a collector anyhow, but it'll make a nice carry piece. I also red ramped mine and had the rear sight milled out a little wider. I'v been very pleased with my "improvements".

You did get it at a nice price.

It will make a fine Pocket Carry J Frame.

A snubby in the RFP (right front pocket) is quite often how I roll. I dress casual - Carhartt pants - so no problem at all for an SP101.
