So, I go to pawn shops all the time here in Winston Salem and every once and a while something good comes along. A few months ago I was looking for S&W revolvers in one of the pawn shops and I saw what I thought was a S&W model 64 with a pencil barrel. I got the gun and looked at it.
I opened up the cylinder and saw it was a model 10-7 in nickel. I started to get excited.
I asked the man if the gun had the box with it. I figured he would say no. So he went into the back to look. I kept looking at the gun and looked over the gun to see if there were any problems. I came across something interesting about the gun and I started to get really really excited. SEE IF YOU CAN SEE WHY I WAS GETTING EXCITED IN THE PIC BELOW>
The man came out with a Bangor Punta peroid correct box. My heart started ro race.
I open the box and low and behold it contained all of the trimmings including a sealed set of cleaning tools.
I asked the guy how much? He said, I have it listed for $550.00. He knows me pretty well so I asked him if he would take $425.00 for the gun. He thought about it for a few and said ok. I gave him some money and laid it away. I got the gun out today and looked at the serial number. It dates to 1981.
Some times even pawn shops get some good stuff. Keep on searching my friends.
