Pawn shop treasure M41 barrel

Went with my buddy to the pawn shops around Tulsa on Tuesday. I have been looking for a Model 41 barrel to replace one of mine that is "cosmetic challenged". We were looking in the gun case next to two M41's and there is a 5-1/2" barrel priced at $299. Not a great bargain but I have been hunting for one for some time without success so I ask to look at it. As soon as I saw the top, I recognized the set screws for the Extended front sight. I bought it for 300 OTD.
PS. I know, without pictures, it didnt really happen.

Great! I'd love to see Model 41 pics with each installed. What kind of prices did they have for the complete guns?

The two M41 were priced at $900 for a 5-1/2" heavy barrel , triple alpha SN and 1100 for a 7" A series SN. No boxes or paper work with either.

Awesome find and not a bad deal at all .

For some reason I always scored higher with the 5 1/2 inch barrel in NRA Bullseye competition...it just seemed to hang steadier than the other lengths .
