Just received a payment, and PP charged a few pennies less than 7%. I was sent $8 and they took 53 cents.
I try to do F&F when possible.
Didn't it used to be much less a while back? I'm thinking like 3% which is about what cc companies charge.

Long ago I forgot my password. To prove I am who I am I practically had to provide fingerprints, birth certificate and DNA. Have managed to pay without using PayPal for the last 15 years.

I don't use PayPal anymore except when forced (eBay). Most of the major banks and many medium banks now use "zelle". At this point it is free and after initial registration money is transferred for free in minutes. One of my renters uses it for his rent.

For me its fast easy and seems to be secure. Google it if you're interested in the details.

When PayPal locked my account and banned me for life without any warning, right of appeal or recourse (I unknowingly sold a gun accessory that they didn't like), I thought I was screwed because I buy so much stuff on eBay. But the good news is that I've found other on-line sources (other than Dr. Evil Jeff Bezos) that take charge cards for just about everything I would have otherwise bought on eBay. :)

Even if they someday decide to reinstate my account, I'm done with them for good. The trust has been broken. I'll never be able to trust PayPal ever again after this nonsense.

I seldom buy anything off ebay, but the few times in the past year, I just used my credit card. If someone would demand PayPal I would just cancel. You do know that PayPal (and ebay) are large donors of anti-gun agenda don't you?

IIRC there is a base .30 charge, then 3 percent after that. Which would be .54 on 8 dollars.

Not to mention how anti gun they are.

You know you can donate/subscribe to this forum using PayPal?

You can pay your NRA dues using PayPal.

I wonder why the owners of this forum and the NRA would use an anti-gun/anti-Second Amendment company as a way of collecting money?

Do you suppose they don't know?

While they are anti gun still, they are nowhere near as bad as they once were. I despise PayPal for a variety of reasons, not least of which is their fees. But, other credit card service providers charge about the same. If you actually swipe a card the fee is usually much less.

If the NRA is using PayPal to secure donations to fight for our 2A rights then it is what it is, ya know what I mean.

I was banned for buying a Lower Parts Kit from a fella on ARFCOM.
The same lower parts kit that can be purchased on Ebay and payed for with Paypal.
Seems a little hipocritical to me.
