Dang, the shipping on those things is a rip off. 6 bucks to ship a little 1oz piece of plastic? Really?

Once they've been out for a while, you'll be able to buy them from other vendors for a less expensive over-all price, including Ebay (with free shipping).
Anyone who buys directly from Pierce is going to be subject to their S&H, so it's a matter of asking yourself... Do you buy From Pierce, as soon as they are available and pay their fees, or do you wait for other Dealers, with more acceptable S&H'?

Looks pretty good and agree it looks stock. I wish it would cover up the hole though like my NDZ extension. I just wish I would've up stocked up on the 6 round mags when Midway had 'em for $22 each.:(

Yeah, you can always wait till MidwayUSA gets them in and then charges you $10 for shipping.

NDZ vs Pearce

Which grips are superior, the NDZ or Pearce ones?

Pearce looks like it is the same type of grippy material that the Shield uses, while NDZ uses aluminum.

Also, what is the purpose of the NDZ extended base plate that covers the hole in the back at the bottom of the grip? Any reason to want it covered/uncovered?

I ordered 2, since the shipping is the same for 2 as 1. Problem with that theory is I probably only want to put it on the 7 rounder. Not likely to buy another 7 rounder, but we'll see how it works out.

Of course, if your LGS carries other Pierce Grips, you could ask them to order some and pay NO shipping. ;)
Midway also charges an extra handling fee for orders under $28, so it would be foolish to order from THEM if your total order is only 1 or 2 extensions.

Just ordered four of the Pearce grips with the same $6 postage, so I'd guess they use USPS flat rate.

I ordered my pearse grips on friday, and my account was charged but I didnt receive any confirmation email for my order. did anybody who ordered the grips get a confirmation email?

I used PayPal for payment and got a PP confirmation, but nothing from Pearce. Also got a shipping confirmation through PP - scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

Hmm! I didn't get anything drom PP. I might have to go on my account and check. Thanks for replying

As the 9mm has negligible recoil, I have not found such devices useful as they make small firearms less suitable for pocket carry, which is the natural home of the Shield, despite the fact that many use big belt holsters for the little pistol.

I needed the Pearce extentions on all my xdc and xdsc guns, but the feel of the shield in my hands fits great without the extention. Comparing the side by side, looks abit longer for my pinky finger. Iam I nuts?

Maybe its the slim feel since I do not have the XDS to compare to....

I think I like the Pearce extension better than the NDZ for my hand shape and size. The Pearce has a more moderate pinky ledge, and the NDZ makes my hand feel a little cramped in comparison. I have fingers like bratwursts, so this may or may not reflect your experience.

Another nice thing about the Pearce is that it fills in the gap between the bottom of the frame and the magazine floor plate better than both the factory baseplate and the NDZ. That, and being polymer it's not cold.

The NDZ is made incredibly well, though! Choice is good, try them both and decide for yourself.

Got mine today. Like 'em.

I got one of the first NDZ's and found the extension that covered the hole in the grip would hang up on the base of my hand when dropping the mag. Now that they offer the option of no extension that would be better or me. The Pearce does not have the extension.

The mailman just dropped mine off. Very nice. Excellent fit. Just long enough to get pinky on grip comfortably.

Got my Pearce pinky extensions and put them on both mags. very easy to do, just make sure to hold the guts in the bottom of the mag. It works out GREAT for the 7 rounder. I might actually shoot with the 7 rd now. On the 8 rounder, it doesn't really come into play with my normal grip. It might keep your hand from slipping off the end when drawing from a holder. I never thought I'd want another 7 rd mag, but now I'm thinking I might get another 7 rd and put both extensions on the 7's.

Wow. What a great fit guys. Got mine in the mail today too. Haven't gotten around to even opening package yet but looking good here in pics. As long as they pass the range test, we're GTG.
