I have the Trijicon RMR RM06 too. It has adjustable brightness which sort of balloons the dot to make it appear bigger when turning up the brightness. It has a 3.25 MOA red dot. Some people say that it's too small but it is perfect for me. If you want it bigger just turn up the brightness and it will look bigger. For me, I like the smaller dot because you can be more precise. With a larger dot, people say you can get it on target faster but you lose the precise shot placement. The RMR DOES CO WITNESS with the stock sights.

The Deltapoint (original) does co witness, the Deltapoint Pro does not co witness and will not fit the slide without some modification to the slide or the sight.

Thanks for your input. Had I made a quick decision on the red dot I would have most likely been motivated by the cost. After spending some additional time and getting input like yours it's obvious to me that in this case you do get what you pay for. I have older eyes so the RM07 with the larger dot may help me with quicker target acquisition but I will search out a dealer with both the 6 & 7 to confirm.

So if I already have a M&P 4.25 in 9mm could I send the barrel & slide to S&W for porting? Or would I have to ship them the complete pistol ?
I already have an Apex kit with the flat face aluminum trigger to install in it so I wouldn't need S&W to do the trigger work.

I don't think Smith & Wesson will port your barrel for you. I may be wrong though. If I were you I would send my barrel to Magnaport. They are supposed to be the best at porting barrels. Heck it's where Jerry Miculek or however you spell his name got his CORE ported before the PC gun was out.

Agreed. S&W probably is a dead end, they want you to buy a complete pistol. This is what Magnaporting looks like. It has a minuscule effect on recoil. I went to 9 major and a compensator to get effective recoil control. The Core is now the wife's gun.
