Had a run in with one years back at a cocktail party at some Hoity Toity yacht club up in Marblehead. She looked like Larry King with boobs wearing a dress. Anyway I was about half lit and she was berating me about hunting. She asked me just how could I justify hunting. I looked at her, took a swig of scotch and said " I just like to kill s---"

I had an "episode" with peta once. I was hungry--looking for a restaurant to go get lunch at--saw several people protesting outside a Kentucky Fried Chicken eatery-so I drove in and got out of the car and went to go ask one of them what they were protesting? as I had not been able to read their hand-held signs.

The guy I asked said they were protesting the way Chickens were fattened up and sent to slaughter.

I said: OK and just walked away and headed for the front door of their establishment. The guy said: "Are you actually going in there and eating?" and I said: "Its either that or ill be Grouse-hunting in the Vienna Woods".

The guy was speechless and I went inside and paid for my food-and purposely sitting at a table next to the window he was standing by--and started eating a piece of Chicken. The guy stared for about a minute-then changed his location of protest.

This is just an example of how dumb they are . . . of course they're fattened up before they're sent to slaughter. Who on earth wants to eat a skinny chicken?

If God wanted us to eat vegies, he would have made them more fun to shoot.
My wife volunteers at a Humane Society shelter who claim to be 'no kill', not even close. They spend lot's of money on offices, meetings, trips ect.and send money to the national org. but as soon as they get close to full, dogs die.

They do send money to the AHS.

I don't know how hypocritical that actually is. It's no big secret that PETA would love to ban the owning of pets entirely. The limousine liberals who support them are probably unaware that.

^^^ This. HSUS had it's hook$ into my elderly Mom. IMO they are on the same level as PETA.

People here are all ecstatic that the San Diego City Council voted to ban pet sales in stores. Good idea, but never forget those words... "I'm from the government. Trust me. I'm here to help."
