I just watched a rerun of the Ed Sullivan Show with Pet Clark singing "Downtown". IIRC she was a child actress in GB during WWII, and is still performing! What I do recall with great clarity is that she stole this young boys heart in 1965, and her hit songs remain clear as a bell in my memory. Anyone else share the appreciation for Petula?

I think it is funny that JH1951 started this thread! I added her to an old thread of mine (TV Series Beauties of the 60's) just now after watching the show! To me, she definitely is a beauty. She has that classy "girl next door" natural look. I posted this song video on the other my other thread, but it fits here too.

Saw her standing in Caesars Palace.
My Bride had trouble believing we were seeing Celebs, so when I said, there's Petula Clark, she said I don't think so.
A Fan Lady ran over and hugged Petula, then two huge Body Guards appeared and pushed her away.
I think we were there to see Waylon.
He performed not in one of the Big Deal rooms, but in one of the meeting convention rooms.
