Was waffling between the 2.0 and the CZ P-10 w/ night sights. I'm a CZ guy and have been wanting to get a P-10 but seems like there are still some growing pains at CZ making poly pistols. I may wait for the 2nd Gen of the P-10

Anyways my LGS selling them for 425 minus the 1st Responder 50 dollar rebate helped seal the deal. I have the FS 2.0 which I love so getting a G19 sized version helped as well

Just got a new 2.0 Compact, too. Like everything about it so far. Hope to get to local range for initial "shake down" session. Stand by. Regards, Ed

The P10c was on my short list as well, but I also picked up the 2.0 compact 9. The Glock 19ish 4" barrel and 5" grip without the infamous Glock grip angle helped seal the deal. Got around 700 rounds through it so far, I'm loving it. I think you'll be really happy with it as well, and at such a good price you got it for.

Great choice. Made the same decision as you, but on Friday. Was torn between the Gen5 Glock and the 2.0. The 9c went home with me, I'll do the .mil rebate when I go back to the office on Wed. As a bonus, I found 2 17rd mag to utilize the spacers. Can't wait for the range. Congrats on your purchased OP

I want one! I bought a P229 in 9mm at the end of August (my first 9mm and my first Sig) and I really like it, but if the M&P Compact was available at the time, I probably would have bought that instead. Buying handguns in NJ is a p.i.t.a., but I think I'm going to have to go thru the purchase-permit process again to get a 2.0 Compact.

Got my new 9 Compact and am thinking I should have gotten this model with night sights. How and who would experienced posters on this site recommend that I buy and have night sight installation for my new Compact? I don't mind shipping the slide to a seller/installer. Recommendations appreciated. Regards and Happy New Year, Ed

Bought a 9mm 2.0 Compact in November. A couple weeks later, I discovered there was a LEO/Mil rebate for 50 bucks. Bonus!

Love this gun. Wearing it right now.

You should be able to find a LGS that can do this for you.

If you want it done right the first time, whichever gunsmith you chose make sure they have a press to install the sights and do not allow anyone to use a hammer & punch to remove/install new sights.

I love all my SIG's but I think the 2.0 Compact is a much more practical gun than the P229.

As others have said any local gunsmith and many local gun stores should be able to do it for you. I had Kyle's Gun Shop put on a set of Trijicon HD's on mine, $150 installation included. If you live way out in the country (my preference if I could), and had no other local option, you could go that route. Kyle's is only about 15 minutes from me, but he has a web presence, and I'm confident he'd give you the same deal.

Purchased a 2.0 compact last week also. First pistol in a while. Going through the process of purchasing holsters. So Far, a Cross Breed Super Tuck IWB with the combat cut, Aker Flatsider belt slide OWB, and a Blade Tec kydex vertical pull OWB. I have experience with IWB and pocket carry, but will be my first time trying to carry OWB. Should not be too bad during winter but will see come summer.

I have been looking for a long time for my Excalibur in pistols. I have tried every polymer pistol out there, HK VP, Glock 19, Walther P 99 and PPQ, HK P 2000 etc. The other day I picked up the S&W M&P Compact and I think I have found Excalibur. Meets all my criteria for a pistol and I particularly like the thumb safety on mine ( old 1911 shooter).

Does the 2.0 9C do better with HP 124 or 124+p?

I was carrying Federal HST 124gr hp, then I came across some of the same except +p "law enforcement" at a local gun show. The regular (non +p) shot fine, but when my nephew and I shot the +p we shot even better (small sample). It was inexplicable. That's what I'm carrying now. What a punch!

I've been out of touch for a while, but the new 9c 2.0 looks like the G19 killer I've wanted for a long time. 4" barrel, 15 round mag, just like the G19, but unlike the Glock, you can get it with a thumb safety, and...the M&P triggers are so much better than Glocks, at least in my hands. Add some Truglo combination tritium/fiber optic sights and that looks like my ultimate 9mm carry pistol.

Questions to 9c2 users. Anyone tried the Federal XM9001 JHP rounds? Not too easy to find but they're higher than standard pressure and in tests I've seen they expand really well. And in bulk, they're cheap enough that you can afford to practice with your carry ammo.

Second, anyone here have a G19 AND the 9c2? How do they compare? I've always found the G19 to have the right size and weight, but it's not at all fun to shoot. Actually, to me the G19 is a chore to shoot. Such a chore that I sold mine a few years ago, only to win another in a contest I didn't know I had entered. So I gave up, got a Cominolli thumb safety installed with Truglo combo sights and Talon grips, and just resigned myself to the pain of shooting the G19. Now I'm rethinking.

Haven't bought a gun since the election. Maybe it's time. Hmmm.
