Been reading all the posts about the good and the bad with the shield and had been looking at a 9 for about a month. I liked the feel and look and wanted to try one for myself.
Well today I found them at Snappys for $369.99 out the door and decieded to give it a go. I normally carry a Glock 26, but was wanting something a little less bulgy. Checked it over good before buying it and looked ok. Tomorrow I hope to get to the range and run a couple of boxes thru it. If everything functions good I think it will be my new carry piece after some extensive practice with it.
By the way, thanks to everyone that posts on this topic, the good and the bad. alot of info here.

The Shield became my EDC 16 Months ago now and it's been great.
What surprised me the most, was that its recoil is as nice as my G26, unlike the Nano, LC9, PF-9, DB9 and others in its class.
I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

That's a heck of a deal you got.

So far I like it. Took it to the range, loaded one mag with 115 gr HP. There are 6 steel plates at 25 ft 8 inch in size. 1St 6 shots laid the plates down, aimed for center of plates.
Shot a box of 50, no FTF or FTE.
I did record this on my cell phone but don't know how to down load it here.
I think it will be a keeper.:)

I strongly recommend getting Talon or similar grips for it. Made a world of difference in control for me.

Thats a great price. I just paid $459 plus $30 shipping for mine. Had to go to PA to find a MA compliant version. SKU 180051 IIRC. Has a 10.5 lb trigger thanks to the libtards here in MA that want to make sure that your kids have difficulty pulling the trigger. Unfortunately, my kids are 33 and 29 and don't live with me so probably not much of an issue in my house.

Luckily, the law makes it unlawful for the gun maker to sell the gun without the 10.5 lb trigger but makes no mention about what happpens once its in the hands of the consumer.:D

The Shield 9mm has been my main carry piece for a year now. I have the 40 also but the 9 gets the most use. Sometimes i go back to my 40c or 9c, but thats because i have an issue with mag capacity. BUT with a pistol as accurate as my shield mag capacity is no longer a big issue with me. I carry the 7 round mag of Speer GDHP 124 grain +P, and the spare 8 round mag loaded with the same. Mt shield has over 1,500 doucmented rounds (Give or take a mag or 2)without a single malfunction OF ANY KIND.
I recently got yhe PJ IWB holster with a mag carrier. This is probaby the finest kydex IWB holster I have ever had (I have a ton of holsters). The Holster is slim easy to put on take off and literally dissapears under a t shirt. I will post some pics soon, if you get a chance look into PJHOLSTERS.Com. Paul makes some great, simple practical stuff thats a dream to carry.
Thanks
