picked up a like new 4556

Hit a gun show yesterday and Almost giving up i ran across a 4556 , Like new in box all paper work even came with a set of unopened set of dead night sights. I paid 500 for it and think i did alright it will go with the growing family of third gens

Good eye, wingsfan. I had seen this one too, and inquired of the seller about the sights on the pistol.

They, too, are dead Trijicons.

As we know, relamping these types of sights can be done for $57 plus the small amount of shipping required to send the slide only back to the factory.

Seller said he had four of these, all purchased from the same source in boxes with papers etc and in excellent condition.

If you're a DAO guy and don't mind the extra bit of weight of the 4556 vs. the 4553, this would be a good opportunity to own one.
