I actually had seen this particular revolver on Gunbroker perhaps 4 or 5 years ago, and thought about picking it up.
Instead, one of my customers bought it, and had it transferred through the gunshop where I used to work. A few weeks ago he decided the novelty wasn’t enough to hold onto it, so it became mine.
It is a 33-1, but stamped Model 36 inside the yoke. Not terribly unusual, but just enough out of the norm that it is pleasing. Not sure how/why this mismarking came about, but there you have it.
It has a true 33 cylinder, shorter than a 36 of course, and the expected 4” barrel, along with square butt grips. The barrel is marked .38 S&W CTG
