I just picked up a Universal Enforcer at a local gun show last weekend. It is in very good shape, came with original mag plus two 30rd mags and 100rds of ball ammo. I'd seen the gun before at another show but passed on it, though it was tagged $500 for the package, which I didn't think was too bad. However, this time when I saw it I was ready to do some trading and had stuff the dealer felt he could move easier than the Enforcer so we made a deal we were both very happy with.

It's a neat gun, lightweight and handy, reminds me of an old fashioned version of my Kel-tec PLR-16 5.56 pistol.
I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, maybe this afternoon. I'm really looking forward to because I'm betting it's going to be all kinds of fun!!

I had one back in the early '90s. It wasn't the most practical thing but it was a lot of fun and made a VERY attention getting car gun. :D

A couple thoughts:

- Fun, but LOUD. Indoors you might want to use plugs and muffs both.
- Mine ran fine on FMJ, but didn't like any SP or HP ammo. ]
- Mine was VERY picky about magazines. A lot of the universal guns originally shipped with plastic hunting mags that were slightly oversized compared to GI mags. You may find that some GI mags have a bit of front to back wiggle that can cause functioning problems.

There's a shop in Gary with a gold annodized Enforcer hanging on the wall. I've given some thought to the Kel Tec.. Maybe when my ship comes in.

The barrels, bolts and receiver were machined in Davie Fl.Assembled in Hialeah Fl.Should'a got me one of those when I had the chance.I don't believe that to many parts were interchangeable with the Gov.M1s.
Still,A bunch of fun.Let us know how yours works.

I recall back in the '60s, a guy shot a couple(?) of Chicago cops. While the shooter (can't remember for sure if the cops were killed) was on the loose and the subject of a massive manhunt, the local news interviewed a cop on the street who held up an Enforcer and said that the guy wasn't getting HIM.

The Plainfields were mostly interchangeable, the Universals not.
