So yesterday while I was out looking and needing some ammo, I glanced on one of these in the used case. My brother has several M&P Pistols, and one of my good friends who does a LOT of shooting has grown fond of his as well. I'm a revolver guy first. I will carry my CZ and have carried 1911s in the past. I've never owned a Glock, they simply do nothing for me. I know they are reliable, but so are so many other choices that feel better and look better. This one caught my eye, and for the price I said I'll take it. Sadly I have NOT gotten the opportunity to put some lead through it yet. Today I woke to black ice everywhere and as the day went on it became a total washout. Hopefully this weekend as I am curious. Small but not tiny. Fairly lightweight but feels like there is enough there so it won't feel like shooting one of the scandium alloy J frames in 357.

I have one and have put a lot of rounds through it with no problems. The slide and the mag springs are a little stiff but that is not all bad. The trigger is good for a stock trigger I think. It handles better than most of the pistols I have shot in the same size range.

Love my shield. Nice shooter for a small gun and is a joy to carry, barely even notice it. Very accurate. I traded a G26 for it and couldn't be happier. Best carry pistol for the price imo.

I don't think you can do much better for the "pocket pistol" market. It's a beautiful little weapon. And as for Glocks, I'm not a Glock fanboy, but give them a chance. They're absolutely flawless. I held off owning one for a long time until some of my peers forced my hand. I wish I had owned one years ago :) You can't go wrong with a Smitty or a Glock. Or even better, both.

Welcome to the forum....Also have the 9 Shield. I rented one at a range outing and my wife and I loved shooting it so much, we bought two before we left. After taking mine to the range a few times, I made it my EDC.

I also own a Smith & Wesson Shield in 9mm and love it, I installed the Apex trigger and a Talon grip and it is now the perfect carry gun.
It's thin profile conceals great, so far it has shot every type and brand of ammo I have fed her with no issues at all. It is very tight at first but does loosen up as it's broken in.

Been carrying mine for 7 months, won't be looking to switch anytime soon! Great shooter for its size too. You will not be disappointed.
