You can never have enough Model 10's. I got this 10-5 today because I needed a warm weather carry gun. It had a set of Pachmayr's on it so I threw on these K frame grips I had lying around.

I just received a 4" model 10-7 heavy barrel yesterday from J&G. I wish that I would have bought a 2nd one in a different version.
I can understand your philosophy that you can never have enough.

Beautiful! I thought I had a line on a similar gun last month until a mutual friend interceded and told him to never sell any of his guns. Wise advice if you ask me :)

Great guns to just tuck in your waist band. I have two of those and
I like the magna stocks with a tyler grip adapter for my grip choice.

Nice looking piece, I wish I had a set of diamond magnas laying around!

I always liked the 2" 10's........someday I'll add one to my set of 10's!

My dad gave me his 10-5 2" RB that he carried for 20 years as an FBI agent ....
Everyone should have at least one Model 10 at their disposal, and that is a fine one to have

That's a beauty.

I'm a novice, and wonder why you would decide to carry a .38 when you can carry a m19 or 66 357?

There is nothing wrong with the .38 Special as far as personal defense goes. It's easier to load for, brass is cheaper, bullets are the same size. Alot of bunk over the years has been written about the .38 Special, mostly trying to sell print. In a 2-inch gun it has been a good back up round for years.

Don't assume he won't carry a M19 or M66. Life is about choices, and today's choice may be that cool M10, maybe tomorrow a M15. Nothing wrong with an appropriately loaded .38 Spl in the hands of a competent shooter.
I have a nice 2 1/2" M66 that is an excellent shooter, and I carry it often, but sometimes I feel like being nostalgic, so I carry my 2" 4 screw M12. Or my 2" M15, or any one of my other revolvers in calibers from .38 Spl to .44 Mag. I even carry a Glock (gasp) sometimes.
It's nice to carry a Classic sometimes. Hang around a while and you'll understand.:)
All the best,
Jim

I must admit my liking for the model 10. Having fired a bunch of rounds out of mine. Simple and reliable. Had a good friend who taught concealed carry classes and after awhile never bothered picking up the 38 special brass as he had so much. So I got the honors in picking it up. Don't know how many I must have picked up but do have a 40mm ammo can full. And this was before the days of the brass wizzard. Just swept them up in a pile and used a small dust pan to pick them up. After a class it was fairly easy to go home with a gallon freezer bag full.

I go back and forth between, J frames,K frames, L frames, Kahr PM9, Charter Arms Bulldog,a couple of Tauri and even a Seecamp (when unarmed), depending on the seasons and whether it is winter time or t shirt weather. I even occasionally stoop to carrying a Glock when going into a bad area.

Hornady Critical Defense has a .38 and a .38 +P in the lineup.......these ain't your grandpap's .38's!
