People in my area have had some nice reasonably priced shooter grade Smith's for sale at good prices so I have have bought a few:

Front left a 19-5, the first Nickle gun I have owned, Nickle in great shape with some small powder spots on cylinder that need to be cleaned.

Right center a 586-4, my first L frame, great shape, gonna have to replace the Hogues with some Pachmayr Grippers, the hogues are too small

Left rear a 28-2, some finish issues on the cylinder that I have touched up. Locks up like the proverbial bank vault. Gun has not been shot much. I scored on this one.

This weekend, weather permitting, the K, L, N frame shoot off.

Sir.
Nice addition's to have. The 28 is a keeper. I am an N frame guy.

A 4 inch Highway Patrolman, A Mod 19 and a 586, classics all.

Yes you've done well on acquiring good S&W's. An N frame, a K frame and a L frame. Now find a J frame and you have all the bases covered!
:)

Congratz.

A cotton patch and a smidgen of SimiChrome or Flitz will take those scratches out of the nickel and make her SHINE!

If we're going to go with the names he's got a .357 Combat Magnum (Model 19), a .357 Distinguished Combat Magnum (Model 586), and a Highway Patrolman (Model 28).

Very nice indeed!

Very nice. I think I really like the N frame. Since I am new to the revolver thing do you mind letting me know what they cost? It will help me recognize a deal when I see one. Hope it is not rude to ask for prices.

Price quotes are very common here, so no problem. Asking someone how much they paid for a specific gun may not receive a reply, which I think is understandable.

A nice 4" model 28 will run $450-550 in my observations. One that appeared new recently sold on one of the online sites for just over $400, which was quite a deal. This is about as inexpensive as N frames are at present. Hope this is helpful, and happy hunting!
