Here's an interesting one in the range

Bill,
We talked about this one already but thought I would throw a pic in here since it goes with this thread. I keep thinking about what I could pawn off to pick this one up. Would like to see it go to someone in the forum as it has a serial number later than any other in the database with transtional characteristics. If someone is interested then let me know and I will point you in the right direction.

Gentleman (Bill & Daniel),

I purchased this one and will have it in my posession at the end of March.

Daniel,
I'm a new member, so it will belong to a member of the Forum.
Obviously, you know the source of this one; what are your thoughts, based on the photos provided, about the price ($725) paid?

S&W 38/44 heavy duty-pre model 20 : Revolvers at GunBroker.com

The seller provided the following additional information in addition to that listed in the GB ad:
the gun was purchased at a consignment sale in Mattoon, IL in 1994; he has never fired the gun and stated that as the reason for selling.

May I inquire as to the contents/details of the discussion between the two of you about this gun?
I have recently "rekindled" my interest in revolvers and will be attempting to accumulate as many Heavy Duties and/or Outdoorsman's as possible from this point foward.

Bill,
I'd be happy to provide additional photos once I have the gun if you need and/or want them.

Regards,
tp

TP,
I think you got a good deal and a great gun! It is hard to find a transition gun with the original grips on it. I'm sure you will enjoy it and hopefully shoot it unlike the previous owner. Thanks for sharing!
Bill

Bill, I've got 74025 with long action, 4" and four line address. Sorry no pics. George
