What's everyone use for a picture share app for the forum? I used to us photo bucket but they started charging. Instead of thumbnail photos I'd like them to be larger. Thank you all.

Attach the picture as a thumbnail, then copy the link that's shown after you upload it. Use that just as you would a link to a host site. You are essentially using the forum as the host.

Edit to add picture: Just right click on the live link in the upload image dialog and copy it, then paste it as you would an external link. I use the "Insert Image" button on the toolbar. You end up with the thumbnail and the full image, just like this post.

If your pictures come out sideways, it's because of the EXIF data (Google that) attached to your pic. The fix is to open the picture in Paint or a photo viewer and rotate the pic, save it, and rotate it back, and save it again. That will overwrite the EXIF data.

We strongly prefer that method. The images will display as long as the forum exists.

Countless older threads have been trashed with dead photo links when hosting sites changes their terms or their members dropped their accounts. If it was up to me, we'd block all hosting sites.

Look familiar???

Amen. Some sites only allow off-site hosting but these hosting sites always seem to disappear. Especially the free ones. I won't use one.

This. I can enlarge that sucker up as big as it will get.

For some reason I'll open the photo host site and see a big, weird looking busy screen with a photo in the middle even smaller than the OP's.

Can't really view well or enlarge.
