How does the target look?Reminds me of a friend of mine she is not comfortable, relaxed or balanced but target look's good. She uses that tea cup and saucer hold also.At least fingers are away from cyl barrel gap.

She shot my old Model 63 well. I was sure she would not like the recoil of the 442, so I got some Liberty 50 grain for her on this first try. She said "it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." That is enough for me, she won't be afraid to pick it up if she needs to.

Not sure if this is "in action" enough...but this is a S&W in the wild and doing it's thing. This is out in the desert, about 20 miles southeast of Reno, NV. During last summer's SWCA Symposium spent much of the late afternoons and nights in the desert, exploring. Relied on my Model 66-8 and a backup 442 to keep me safe. Was glad to have it with me at least once.

Here's my buddy sw282 shooting steel critters with his "scented" cast 250 grainers at one of our monthly IHMSA matches. Somehow he always manages to score a 42 out of 40!!

Here's jaymoore knocking em down with his 29 silhouette.

And me in Lincolnton last July working on the 50 meter chickens with my trusty 629 PowerPort.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL ;-)

In the first photo the shooter is using a cup & saucer grip, the wrong way to tame/handle recoil. I hope someone corrected her so she can enjoy shooting, at least as much as it's possible w/a J frame.
