Alright, let's just cut to the chase. It's Thanksgiving and in the foodstuffs final analysis, it's really all about the pie (cornbread dressing and gravy notwithstanding).

So, we need a pie photo thread.

I'll kick it off this one, my just out of the oven pumpkin pie made with oven roasted pumpkin (none of that canned stuff), with chopped walnuts on the outer ring and grated fresh nutmeg and cinnamon in the 9-ring. A pile of whipped cream goes in the 10-ring later.

I've never cared for pumpkin myself but my oldest daughter would knock you over to get to that. For her I'll say, that looks delicious.

Piiiie

I'm currently at work so no photos, unfortunately.
My wife & son are at home making 1 pumpkin,1 pecan
& 3 apple pies with 2 different crusts. She baked an apple
cake & made caramel icing last night. She is a wizard
when it comes to baking.
Happy Thanksgiving to all

Pear with lemon and ginger on the left, apple molasses caramel on the right, with everything made from scratch.

This one was a test run from a couple of days ago, a straight apple with cinnamon, but with protection. :D

Pies is one of Gods greatest gifts to us, especially on Thanksgiving.
There is, however, one rule that should be NEVER be violated:
No pie should EVER be cut in more than six pieces. Four would be better.:)

Not having a wife and not much of a cook, Ididn't get no pie today but those shown here makes you want to slap your Mama(as they say in East TN). In other words, real good.:)
