Pistol cannot be registered - wrong color!!

Wonder if the pistol was to be hidden in a toilet, trashcan, dumpster, sewer, or other means that might affect its finish would it then become acceptable?

What about carried under the waistband of baggy pants in a humid climate, or thrown out of a speeding car window etc, etc. that could also affect its finish?

Seems like these things could make it acceptable in D.C., but wait that is what criminals do and they are forbidden to have guns!

Pretty much, but I think this goes hand in hand on why the gun could not be registered. Don't think I can take this any farther here.....

What is scary is that DC is using the CA Roster to determine if a handgun is "legal".

As a person living under the idiot CA gunlaws it is my hope that "as California goes so goes the nation" will not happen.

There may be more to this. I have heard that spray-painting a Glock blue renders it harmless. I'm thinking of painting the tips of all my barrels orange for safety.

Too funny - I like your avatar BTW.

No, just arrogant and mean. Helps if you are involved with drug trafficking for the mayor.

They do this in California now - the approved firearms list.

Back door gun control, nothing more.

A nickle finish makes an approved blued gun forbidden until it can be "tested for safety".

What makes the list total hogwash is that LEO's can buy firearms not on the "safety list". If they aren't safe, LEO's shouldn't buy them either. Answer is, the list has nothing to do with safety.

I can assure you firsthand that the arrogance of Washington DC municipal bureaucrats is only dwarfed by their unrivalled ignorance and ineptitude. When you pay less than an antebellum plantation, you cannot afford to be selective in what shows up to work for you.

But he said he is confident that the D.C. regulations are "completely appropriate" under the Second Amendment.

He's confident, but no doubt he hasn't read it or understands it.
