Based on the two rests, Ransom and a DIY, I'm making one that uses both ideas.

The roller rest idea, was from a standup DG rifle rest, for sighting in, load development, from an Africa website, I saw some years ago.
6000 series aluminum.
6"x12"x1/2"
4"x 8.5"x 3/4"
Neoprene
3.5"x11"x1"
Bow Roller
4" wide 1/2" hole
Stainless 1/2" rod, not shown.
The two 1/2" plates, will be fastened together, for the base.
3/4" plates, one on each side. to hold the 1/2" rod and roller.
1/2" holes, to adjust the height as necessary.
Total weight about 18 pounds.
