plastic s&w holders

ok, looks like all the cool kids have those plastic s&w trigger guard holders for displaying their pistols instead of using a pen like i do. where do you get those? thanks

you may have to use the term "prop rod" when searching for them.

I personally prefer the clear prop rods... I know it's a S&W and the clear ones don't obscure any of the guns lines. JMHO

Prop rods occassionally show up on the forum as part of a "karma" drawing or as an auction item to benefit the forum. That's how I got mine!

It's a Model 60-2 (shipped May '79) that I bought for a 60th birthday present to myself. I first sent it to S&W's P.C. for a mirror polish. Then it was off to Wayne D'Angelo (master engraver for S&W and Colt) for his art. It is a great shooter too!

I bought the mother-of-pearl stocks from the president of Eagle Grips @ S.H.O.T.

GAWD! That gun is purty!! There is a fully engraved one at auction now with box, tools and all papers. It's going to go for over a grand. Is that a good price?

If you like it then it is for you. Engraved guns are a whole area of collecting that is filled with more variables than collecting non-engraved. Bill (Doc44) would be the one I would ask for insight on these matters. HTH
