I know you are out there because I have seen on Gunbroker and Utah gun exchange Shields selling for $700 +

I have just Three questions:

1) After you shot your $700 Shield do you have any buyer remorse?

2) Did you purchase on credit or pay cash?

3) Is your household income above $100K?

Thanks in advance

i dont own a shield, nor want to...but..exactly what is your point as to what someone else paid for their gun??

I sold 1 of my 2 9mm Shields for $700.00. It had night sights and 4 extra 8 round mags along with a Desantis IWB holster plus 300 rounds of 9mm ammo for a total of $900.00. Only cause the guy kept offering more and more for it. Plus my water heater went bust so I used the money for a new water heater.

Consider this post a study in psychology.

I am always interested in the human mind.

I have no interest in debating a person's rational.

I am sincerely interested in what motivates a person to pay nearly double retail.

I guess if someone has the means to pay for it, they will pay whatever it takes to get what they want.

I'm very happy with my Shield but I only gave $349 + tax and background check for mine!:D

WOW:eek:crazy price!! Paid $420 for mine and $399 for the gandsons plus 6 % tax.The prices keep getting a little crazy from my research:(

I would have thought that gun owners would be the first to understand personal privacy. This is truly NOYDB.

It's no one's business what I paid, whether I paid cash or credit card, and how much I make! Just like if a Doctor asked me if I have a firearm in the house!!!

Gosh you'd think this guy was asking for social security numbers and bank account information by the way some people are responding to this.

I'm going to to out on limb here and say the people that are getting so defensive about a light hearted post are the ones that paid that much. Otherwise they wouldn't be getting their panties all in a wad.

I payed the retail price when it was released last year. Do you remember that price?

Back in January and early February, the Shields were going for $650 and more on Gunbroker. All guns are going down fast on Gunbroker. The current price for a Shield seems to be around $550. A Shield is not like the AR's were, with talk of banning. The AR's easily sold for double or more of the list price. Currently the AR's are now selling for around 40 to 50% over list, and are falling in price on a weekly basis.

As far as what price did you pay for a Shield seems irrelevant. The price is what someone is willing to pay at a particular time. If they paid $700, it was because they wanted one and had the money to pay that price. Others may not have enough money and may be willing to wait for a lower price, that is acceptable to them.

A CA legal M&P 22 I was watching on GB just went for $905 (auction 331221650)
Luckily my .40 will be ready for pick-up and possession on Saturday. Only $519 plus the usual extras.

What did you pay for yours?

Or, do you have a major issue with the Shield or owners?

You know, you are absolutely right! How much did you make last year? :)

Must be a great water heater. :D

oddly enough i see it as more of a study,in a special kind of stupid....what someone pays for an item, his income, and "remorse"are clearly none of your business....
how much did you pay for your registered magnum?
ohhh yeah,thats right :D:D

I'm the most frugal person I know. It irks me I am paying $20 over MSRP, but considering the demand for them, I think that is fair. My other LGS is taking deposits at a price of $499.

For those paying a whole lot more, they are getting what they want and parting with money more easily than me. Unless they have hungry kids eating lower quality food than necessary I don't care what they pay. I hope their purchase meets their expectations. Considering bad news travels the fastest and magnifies what are actually low frequency problems, I expect most of these buyers will not regret their deci$ion. Their only heartburn will come from searching for ammo!

1.....no
2.....cash
3.....yes
4.....yes, my momma did make me wear a dress on Sunday after church.
5.....3 of those 4 answers are correct....:)
